KATHY DAVID WINS ASIAN HERITAGE ENTREPRENEURIAL AWARD

ESCONDIDO, Calif., July 15, 2010 -- IT TechPros, Inc., a respected IT managed services provider, announced today that its CEO and president, Kathy David, is the winner of the Asian Heritage Award for excellence in entrepreneurship. She received the honor from Asia Media at its seventh annual awards banquet on July 10.

Hundreds of nominations were received for 14 award categories and 75 finalists were selected to participate in the public voting process, which garnered more than 45,000 online votes. David didn’t expect to win; she was honored to be a finalist and shocked when she heard her name called as the winner.

“I hadn’t prepared a speech. I said thank you and how it was such an honor and blessing to win, but as I walked away, I realized I didn’t mention Jeff, my husband, and how he’s a big part of our business,” David said.  “The plaque should have both our names on it; if not for him, there’d be no IT TechPros.”

The award marks a milestone for the IT consulting business, which was formed in 2006 by combining the couple’s strengths: David’s banking experience and her husband’s IT background.

“This honor let us know that even though our business isn’t even five years old, we’ve already made a huge impact in the San Diego economy and community,” David said. “We love what we do and we’re going to continue to work for the betterment of our company, employees, clients, family and community.”

David is one of the featured co-authors of "The Power of Leadership - Finding the Leader Within," and the author of a how-to-manual, “Do I.T. Yourself – Insider to PC Tune-Ups.” She’s an alumna of the UCLA Anderson School of Management, where she studied business development and entrepreneurship.
